We are starting 2024 with a new edition of our newsletter. This time, our editorial addresses the various occasions on whichTVN has made the headlines in recent weeks, both due to criticism of the new executive appointment and its role as co-organizer of the Viña del Mar Festival and its line-up.
We also take the opportunity to show our second audiovisual capsule in which, together with academic Patricia Peña, we talk about the importance of having an institution that regulates convergence and is also convergent.
The final months of 2023 and the first week of 2024 were filled with activities in which we participated as the #RegulaciónConvergente team, from the annual INCOM Congress to the ICONS Chile law conference, in addition to the international conference on cultural policies held at GAM, a talk organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs about ethical challenges after using artificial intelligence (AI), a letter by our co-researcher Javier García published in La Tercera about the need for a "reform of an obsolete telecommunications law” and a series of recommended readings.
