We invite you to read edition N°15 of our newsletter, in which we present the main activities carried out in recent months by the team of the Fondecyt Project on Convergent Regulation.
In this edition, the project’s lead researcher, Chiara Sáez, warns about several news articles published in media that could anticipate a scenario of setbacks in communication policies with a convergent perspective in Chile in the coming years.
Against this background, through Fondecyt Project 1230748, we have promoted various initiatives aimed at reinforcing the public and academic discussion on digital platform governance. These include organizing the International Conference on Governance and Convergent Regulation and our participation in a colloquium on digital governance with Mauricio Muñoz, outgoing president of the CNTV.
In addition, undergraduate students of Universidad de Chile presented technical reports on convergent regulation, while co-researcher Patricia Peña represented the project in the UNESCO Global Summit on Digital Platform Governance held in Pretoria, South Africa.
